Alerts should coach. “You are at 80% of food” is useful. Shame copy is not a retention strategy.
Budgets need to respect wallet reality. A food budget spent from eSewa and cash still counts as food.
Review weekly, not only monthly. Short feedback loops change behavior faster than annual guilt.
